Edward Foy and Jennifer Silano met in 1995 as colleagues at Calvin Klein Jeans Wear. Intrigued by the promise of online marketing, they realized that fashion brands were missing a huge opportunity in establishing direct-to-consumer relationships and driving revenue through online flagship stores. With the understanding that the high-touch nature of fashion would present challenges in eCommerce, they set out to create a turnkey eCommerce solution that focused on protecting brand integrity.
By 2000, Ed and Jen began laying the groundwork for their company by cultivating personal relationships. Using credit cards and $3000, the now married couple launched eFashionSolutions from the basement of their apartment. Through word-of-mouth and industry contacts, eFashionSolutions quickly began expanding its client roster by securing deals with urban apparel giants like Baby Phat, JLo and Rocawear.
It didn’t take long for the company to outgrow their basement headquarters as they moved to a 22,000 sq-ft facility in Carlstadt, NJ in one year, and an even bigger facility in 2004. The current headquarters is located in Secaucus, NJ.
Now an international company, eFashionSolutions manages eCommerce initiatives for over 20 premier fashion brands and executes Private Sales for dozens of highly visible clients as an exclusive service provider for eBay. A recent partnership with Amazon enables eFS fashion services to be integrated with the largest online retailer in the world. In all of these areas, eFashionSolutions prides itself on delivering Quicker eCommerce Success while catering to the high-touch needs of fashion. Ed and Jen have been named to the NJ Biz Forty Under Forty and as 2009 finalists for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. The company has won a Webby Award, a USPS Strategic Business Development Award, and been named one of New Jersey’s 50 Finest Companies.
